Truth or Dare Generator

Sit in a circle, or open a chat. On your turn, choose truth or dare. A truth is a question you answer honestly. A dare is a task you do right there. Then the turn passes on. There is no score and no winner, which is the point.

Every player gets two passes per game. A pass swaps the prompt for a new one of the same type. Once your passes are gone, you answer or you do it. If a prompt makes someone genuinely uncomfortable, it goes regardless of passes. Passes are for dodging embarrassment, not for forcing anyone.

• Pick the spice level together, and drop to the lowest level anyone asks for.

Every combination has its own deck: Friends truths on Normal, Couples dares on Spicy, and so on. Clean prompts are shared across the in-person modes, then each mode adds its own set on top, so a party deck feels like a party and a couples deck feels like two people on a sofa.

When you first draw from a deck, the page shuffles it with a Fisher-Yates shuffle, the standard way to put a list in a fair random order. Cards are dealt from the top. You only see a prompt again once every other prompt in that deck has come up. Then it reshuffles, and it makes sure the first card of the new round is not the one you just saw.

There is no server and no AI writing prompts on the fly. Every truth and dare is written into the page, so once it has loaded, it works in your browser with no signal. Player names stay on your device and are gone when you close the tab.

Clean is safe for family and school. Normal adds gossip, crushes and mild social risk. Spicy is flirty and romantic, for adults, and never explicit. The levels stack, so a Normal deck still has Clean prompts in it and a Spicy deck mixes in Normal ones. Teens / Clean mode stops at Normal.

Four to eight people is the sweet spot. Add everyone's names, start on Normal, and let the card call turns. Friends mode leans on shared history: who texts who, who gives bad advice, who would sell you out for an alibi.

In a bigger group, truths get lost in the noise, so Party mode leans on performance: lip syncs, toasts, conga lines. Use the 30-second timer to stop any one dare from eating the night, and put the phone where everyone can see the card.

With two players, skip the names and just alternate. Couples mode asks about each other rather than a group: first impressions, annoying habits, what you told your friends after the first date. Spicy turns it romantic. A good date night version: five truths each, then switch to dares.

Over text mode has dares that work through a phone: voice notes, selfies, screenshots, a new profile picture for an hour. Draw a prompt, press Copy, paste it into the chat. Proof counts, so ask for the screenshot.

Someone swears their answer is honest and nobody believes them? Put them on the lie detector test, a prank polygraph that gives a dramatic verdict. It is a game, like this one, not a real polygraph.
