Drag Click Test
Measure your drag clicking speed in short bursts. See your CPS, your peak second, your longest burst and a timeline of every click.

The 5-second timer starts on your first click. Drag your finger across the button so it bounces.
Counts every left-button press or tap on the pad, timed with your browser's high-resolution clock. Dragging a finger across a touchscreen counts as one press, not a drag click. Keyboard keys are not counted. A press that your mouse never reports, because its debounce filter swallowed it, cannot be counted here.
About drag clicking
How drag clicking works
Instead of tapping, you press lightly on the mouse button and slide your fingertip across it, usually from the top of the button toward you. Friction between skin and plastic makes the finger stutter, and each tiny hop presses the switch again. One drag can register 10 to 30 clicks in under a second, which is why runs here are short: drag clicking happens in bursts, and the 1, 3 and 5 second modes match how it is used in Minecraft PvP and bridging.
Reading your result
Average CPS is total clicks divided by the run length. Peak CPS is the most clicks in any one-second window, so it shows how fast your best drag was. The longest burst is the longest row of clicks spaced less than 60 ms apart. If no two clicks were that close, the longest burst is 0. On the timeline, tall highlighted ticks are clicks inside a burst and short grey ticks are ordinary clicks. Normal clicking sits around 6 to 8 CPS, a decent drag gives 12 to 20, and strong players reach 25 or more in short bursts. Compare it with your jitter clicking score to see which method suits you.
Which mice drag click well
It is the button, not the brand. A light, textured or matte button surface gives the grip a finger needs to skip across it, while glossy or coated buttons let the finger slide without bouncing. Low debounce time matters too: many gaming mice ignore a second press within a few milliseconds to stop false double clicks, and that filter eats drag clicks. Mice with adjustable debounce, or older models with a short default, register more. If a mouse is sold as a drag clicker and tops out at 12 CPS here, the claim on the box is doing more work than the switch.
Before you push for 20+ CPS
Many Minecraft servers run anti-cheat plugins that treat sustained speeds above roughly 20 CPS as an autoclicker, and some games and browsers cap or smooth input, so a high score here may not be allowed or count elsewhere. Drag clicking also wears switches faster than normal use. A worn switch starts double clicking on single presses, which inflates scores and is a real fault. Check yours with the double click test.

Frequently asked questions
How does this drag click test count clicks?
It does not detect a drag gesture. Every left-button press or tap on the pad counts, including the first one, which also starts the timer. A drag click shows up only because the mouse switch bounces and the browser reports many presses close together. Moving the pointer, without a new press, adds nothing. A press the mouse never sends, because its debounce filter swallowed it, is missing from the score. Clicks that land outside the pad are not counted.
What do peak CPS and longest burst mean?
Peak CPS is the most clicks inside any one-second window of the run. That count is also the clicks per second of your fastest second. Average CPS is different: it is every click divided by the full length you picked, not by the time of the last click. The longest burst is the longest streak where each click landed less than 60 ms after the one before it. A gap of 60 ms or more ends the streak. If no two clicks were that close, the longest burst is 0. On the timeline, tall highlighted ticks are the burst clicks and short grey ticks are single clicks.
How long does a run last?
Pick 1, 3, 5, 10 or 15 seconds, then press the pad. The clock starts on that first press and the run lasts that long. Press R or Reset to throw it out. R does not reset while you are in a text field or a dropdown, while you hold Ctrl, Alt or Command, or when the key is repeating. Choosing another length also resets the current run.
What is a good drag clicking CPS?
Ranks use average CPS. Under 8 is Not dragging yet, under 12 is Warming up, under 18 is Solid drag, under 25 is Strong drag clicker, under 35 is Elite, and 35 or above is Suspiciously fast. The page notes that many Minecraft servers treat speeds held above about 20 CPS as an autoclicker, and that a score at 35 or above can come from a worn switch or a macro. These are labels for this test, not a leaderboard.
Will drag clicking work on a phone or from the keyboard?
The pad is mouse or touch only. A left click counts, and so does a tap. Drag clicking needs the mouse button to bounce as your finger slides across it. Dragging a finger across a phone screen is still one press, so a phone result is tap speed, not drag clicking. Keyboard keys are not counted, including a key that repeats. The test cannot be done from the keyboard.
Why is my drag click score lower than I expected?
The score can only include presses the browser actually receives. Many gaming mice ignore a second press within a few milliseconds so a single click does not become two, and that debounce filter eats drag clicks. A glossy button lets the finger slide without bouncing the switch. Keep the cursor over the pad: presses outside it are ignored. A high score here may also be blocked or smoothed in a game.
Where is my best score saved?
The best average CPS for each length (1, 3, 5, 10 and 15 seconds) is saved in this browser on this device. A run replaces the saved number only when you landed at least one click and the average, rounded to two decimals, is higher. The Clear best scores button deletes those numbers. They are not uploaded.
